Athletics
The St. Andrew’s athletics program emphasizes inclusiveness. Middle school students all are encouraged to participate in any of the varied athletic offerings. Last year, St. Andrew’s won the division championship in both girl’s volleyball and boy’s football. GO BRONCOS!
St. Andrew’s is a proud member of the High Plains Christian Athletic Association, participating in volleyball, football, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls golf, and co-ed track. The School also began offering a “Get Fit” program last year – and that will be continuing as well.
There are no tryouts for the School’s different athletic teams, but coaches do assess students’ abilities and group them on appropriate teams. We want all students to have a place to play and a level of competition at which they can achieve personal success. St. Andrew’ s sports programs utilize the latest in equipment and coaching techniques, and the School just recently completed major renovations to the gymnasium. Each year, the School hosts several regional volleyball and basketball tournaments in its new facilities.
Our coaching staff is well trained and suited for teaching our students the values that are associated with winning and losing. St. Andrew’s athletics always stress the importance of demonstrating respect, teamwork, and an appreciation of the sport in every practice and game.
Over the past several years we have seen our athletes go on to compete at both the high school and college level with tremendous success. Our student athletes have always appreciated the values that they have learned here at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. St. Andrew’s athletics, we are the Broncos!
Support our young athletes by attending a game.

Extracurricular Activities
St. Andrew’s students are well rounded and are encouraged to explore their own unique skills and diverse interests. In addition to athletics, students participate in a wide variety of academic competitions and other activities. Students in Grades 3 – 8 can participate in the School’s orchestra program and/or join the school choir. Beginning in 2008, the School began participating in the Private Schools Interscholastic Competition (PSIA) and this activity is open to all students in Grades 1 – 8.
Academic teams compete locally, regionally, and even nationally, in a multitude of math and science competitions, and the School boasts a very active National Junior Honor Society. In 2009, the School became a founding member of the National Elementary Honor Society, which is open to qualifying students in the 5th Grade. Last year, St. Andrew’s Science Bowl Team won the regional competition and then went on to Washington D.C. where they won the National Fuel Cell Car Competition.
As our students mature, they also have the opportunity to participate in class trips that help not only to increase their awareness of the world around them but also to strengthen friendships and create lifelong memories. Class trips for this year include:
- 6th Grade: Washington D.C.
- 7th Grade: Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas
- 8th Grade: Seattle, WA
