Scholarship

scholarship1For many years, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School has worked to make its outstanding academic environment available to students of all backgrounds by providing scholarships and tuition assistance. Each year almost ten percent of students attending St. Andrew’s are on financial assistance, an effort that requires the school to raise more than $100,000 in scholarship funds annually.

In addition to providing partial assistance to a large number of students, the Scholarship Program also awards a full scholarship to a graduate of the Opportunity School each year. That student enters St. Andrew’s in Kindergarten and is then here on full scholarship until the 8th Grade. This program has been very successful. One of our Opportunity School Scholarship Alumni was recently named a national merit achievement scholar and another was awarded a college scholarship by Rotary International.

scholarship2Recently, St. Andrew’s named its Scholarship Program in honor of our beloved founder, Betty Teel Bivins as a way to honor her memory and her vision for our School. It is the goal of the administration and the Board to continue to grow support for this vital program. We look both to expand the number of students to whom we can offer assistance as well as to increase the sustainability of the program through an increased endowment.
