St. Andrew's Episcopal School

Bronco Spirit is on the rise as the School gets into full swing with its fall sports season which includes both Girls Volleyball and Boys Football. Once again, St. Andrew’s has two girls’ volleyball teams with more than 25 girls suiting up to play. The Volleyball season will include 14 regular season games and two regional tournaments.

6 Man Football has returned and Coach Casey Doyle is excited to be back out on the field. Practices started in early August and the 23 boys, from grades 6, 7, & 8 are looking good. The Broncos first game is this afternoon and the 5-game season will continue through mid October. Most games are on Thursday afternoons and are played here in the Amarillo area. Call the office if you are would like directions to a game.

This past Friday the 2008 volleyball season got underway with the RED team opening play in the annual 7^th grade volleyball tournament. Six teams participated in the 11 matches that were played to crown a champion. Ascension Academy won the Gold bracket, San Jacinto Christian the Silver bracket, and your Lady Broncos won the Bronze bracket.

The momentum from the weekend carried over into Monday night’s matches as the RED team beat Lubbock Christ the King by scores of 25-16, 25-17

The St. Andrew’s BLUE team opened up their season with impressive wins over both Arbor Academy and Lubbock Christ the King. They hope to continue their winning when they visit Plainview Christian on Thursday, September 11th and when they open play in the 8^th The Broncos will participate in the opening game of the tournament at 2:00 Friday afternoon. grade tournament which will be held at St. Andrew’s this coming weekend.
