Admissions Procedure 2008-2009
Thank you for your interest in St. Andrew’s Episcopal School! We encourage you to visit us-we think that you will be delighted by what you find. Please contact the Office to learn more about our School or to schedule an individual appointment.
The application process is designed to help streamline enrollment and assist us in making the best placement decision for your child. We encourage you to contact us if you have any questions or concerns throughout the process.
St. Andrew’s admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, financial aid programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
- All kindergarten applicants must have turned age five by September 1, 2008 for enrollment.
- The Application for Admission must be completed in full for each applicant. The non-refundable application fee is $135 (includes all necessary evaluations).
- All entering students are evaluated by St. Andrew’s Episcopal School through a test/interview/visit process. Test dates for the 2008-2009 academic year will be set through the spring.
- Prospective students applying for second grade and above are encouraged to visit classes. All application materials must be completed prior to visitation.
- Evaluation results will be reviewed with the parent(s) within a reasonable time period after the test administration by the Headmaster or Assistant Head of School.
- If your child is attending another school, please sign the Record Release Form so that all records from previous schools can be mailed directly to ST. ANDREW’S EPISCOPAL SCHOOL. Copies of testing results and the most recent report card are needed for our application files.
- Teacher Evaluation Forms (recommended two per student) need to be completed for students in Second grade and above.
- Once the Application for Admission, the Application Fee (new students), the Record Release Form, and Teacher Evaluation Forms have been received, you will be contacted by the School to schedule an appropriate evaluation date.
- The School Administrator will review your child’s application and recommend one of three actions:
- Accept the student, in which case an acceptance letter is sent stating a deadline for enrollment and pertinent information.
- Candidates and parents will be notified that they have been placed on an admission pool, which means that there is not an opening at this time. Should an opening become available, they will be contacted promptly.
- Reject the application and parents will be notified by mail.
- Parents are notified of the action taken on each student’s application by the Headmaster as soon as practical after the decision has been made.
- The School reserves the right to place a student in the grade or class group which it feels will be most beneficial to the student and the School.
- Upon notice of acceptance, parents will be asked to complete and sign a Student Contract. An Enrollment Fee of $350 for Primer thru Pre-Kindergarten and $425 for Kindergarten thru 8th Grade is due upon submission of the signed Student Contract. The position offered your child will be held for two weeks from the time of acceptance. The Enrollment Fee and signed contract secures your child a position. The Enrollment Fee is non-refundable.
- There are three tuition payment options available. Annual, Semi-Annual, and Monthly. Monthly payments are through FACTS Management.
- Extended Care Programs are available for all St. Andrew’s students through the 5th Grade. A registration fee is necessary to be enrolled in the Extended Day Program. For further information, please contact the School Office.
